You're arguing with a man who said Donda isn't original because Believe What I Say sounds like American Boy

I was just thinking about this other day. His best songs are layered in a way that feel different from your average song. Most songs when you close your eyes you can imagine the tracks in a DAW like oh yeah here’s the keyboard they used, here’s the drum pattern, here’s the vocals. But on Ye’s best tracks, when you close your eyes it’s like you can’t even picture how this s*** was made, it’s like greater than the sum of its parts. It’s that “sonic portrait” s*** he talks about.

But then you listen to a song like Pure Souls and you can easily visualize the tracks (organ, drum pattern, vocals) and it’s not as special. I really like the song but it’s more of that “average song” feeling.

    I’m ranting but yeah!
