Smacked VoodooLike the people make those let's play kinda videos be doing way more work than streamers cause they gotta record themselves playing the games well, then they have to edit the recordings, which means normally sitting through and watching 2-3hrs of playback to figure out when and where edits have to be made, correcting recording errors/glitches/etc, including other graphics within the video to make it as informative as it can be. Also you gotta do some research on the game you're playing in order to explain the secrets and other mechanics.
When it comes to streaming you literally sit on your ass playing a game and all you gotta do is talk. You don't even have to talk about the damn game

work in the end of the day, and the amount you work, is dependent on you. for most people, working 9-5, very strictly on the dot, is not going to do anything to move the needle in climbing the ladder. you can possibly climb said ladder through new positions at new companies, but to climb upward at any company in a quick fashion more or less you gotta put in work afterhours
all depends on the position ofc, but lots of 9-5 desk jobs i see applying above

idk it depends on the field. I know some with LLCs and they kind of modify their work life balance as needed
