    Mr America

I mean for one it multiple superstars rn but in rap wym it wouldve happened? I said someone really creative, who is like that rn ?

Paris texas. Kenny mason. Doechii. Jpegmafia. Ghais Guevara. Smino. Saba. Noname. Little Simz. Topaz Jones.

It’s hard to be a superstar when you competing against 5+ different streaming platforms and an audience with a shortened attention span they cant even handle a 3 and a half minute song

Maybe and i mean a strong MAYBE could paris texas be what u think a superstar is. Everyone else you named is too experimental. I also said
digestible to the mainstream. Like carti for example. You wouldnt group him with jpeg but he isnt typical and can be experimental enough

And also industries change. The music industry is no different. Wanting ppl to do formuliac 3 min songs is just as boring if not more than 1 min ones. I think itll be someone who takes a new approach to these things not someone doing things already done

In last 15 years, rap only had 3 superstars

    Drake, Kendrick, Travis.

  • MTV stopped playing MVs or something idk

  • Sep 26, 2024

Brands and platforms are the priority.

"How do we get people to buy a CD or movie"

    turned into

"You pay us $10 a month. Here's a bucket of slop to pick through"

Idiots will complain about artists being plants or pushed by the label

  • No monoculture

Everyone lives in their own bubble

Because of that, there is no material reason to believe in the record label’s conditioning of who we as ppl should be paying attention to.

Superstars are built on the premise of record labels pumping big money into acts that they believe we as ppl would pay attention to with our money and eyeballs

But if we’re curating our own lives, curating our own entertainment, then there’s no reason to venture out and trust the record label as to who we should be listening to

  • Zokkon

Idiots will complain about artists being plants or pushed by the label

In 2024 plants wouldn’t be a thing anyway

Millennials and zoomers weren't raised on that ood good lead infused water and air that made the old generations nuts. Maybe we'll get some more boundary pushers when the microplastics really start to fuse to our brains.
