Man I was really a garbage human being until I watched that lucky charms commercial that made me rethink my life choices

I just hate how we started making social progress and then immediately took it too far. The second we all acknowledged some men were a******s and their behavior is wrong it became 98% of men are s***stains

No we aren't all like that though

Some of us are s*** yeah. But suddenly as soon as well admit that some of men's behavior is wrong now all of us are complete wastes of human flesh

Most men are not complete garbage.. We can have social progress without ostracizing an entire gender is what I'm aiming for here

It's a dumb commercial, people who complain about it need to stop letting corporations play with their emotions. They do make a good razor though, I got the 30 pack you can get at Cosco and one of those things last me at least a month

So many better razors to use than Gillette fam

Saying we're not all like that is a nothing statement. It's kind of a no brainier.
This is the same argument people use with cops. Even if they aren't ALL like that, there's a recurring problem that needs to be addressed and and dealt with for the generations to come.

Saying we do s***ty things isn't also a brand new concept that just came out of nowhere in 2017 either.

They're both kind of obvious statements. But honey nut cheerios isn't gonna spend 17 million telling me that not every single man is garbage and smacking us in the head with the statement.

Bro that sjw s*** runs the media nowadays though. It's clearly not just the internet

Every commercial gotta make a social statement why can't we just be f***ing people fam. We can't get away from this s***. Yes it's a positive force ig.

But sometimes these commercials are just not coming from a good source.

    Remember that Pepsi ad?

Wow such feelings, great positive force in the world

It isn't a brand new concept, it's widely known because it happens a LOT.

Why does a corporation and it's advertising have any thing to do with how we are dealing with women and other men have anything to do with whether we change or not? And a corporation using it's influence to be more progressive isn't an all bad thing. Do you have a problem with the corporations involving themselves in human problems or the self reflection aspect?

Also if women themselves are saying we have XYZ problem why try to go against it instead of accommodate and adjust behaviors?

I never said we should go against social progress lmao. I'm saying Gillette is cashing in on the metoo movement and it's grossly misplaced.

Reeses isn't changing anyone's minds because let's be honest corporations are 50x worse and doing dirtier s*** than anything their commercials are standing up against

"I don't get it, why can't Coca-Cola capitalize on our social movements???"

Because they don't actually care lmao their cashing in on you dweebs and they don't give a f*** about your message. If you keep allowing s*** like this it'll only get worse

Why do you care though? That's just capitalism these corporations profit off killing kids too. Throwing some light on social issues once a year and making money from it is far from the worst thing they do.

Because social progress shouldn't come with a price tag. You're clearly very passionate about the metoo movement. Why would you want to see it commercialized and sold back to you? The fact you don't care what corporations do when manipulating your message means you don't actually give a f*** about it at all as long as you achieve your agenda. Which it won't btw. Once you let corporate America twist it the message is caught in a blur. It's happened many times over

I mean if EA wanted to put a statement out about supporting black people in regards to police brutality or whatever I wouldn’t think much of it. They’re within their right to do so

Probably just a quick “ight bet” and go about my day.

I wouldn’t go around saying I’m not playing any EA games or crying on social media about it

Its effective advertising because libs praise it and conservatives complain about it for a week.

Distracting everyone from the real issues.
