Superman, Spider-Man, Spongebob and Harry Potter are all brands that have definitely had an influence on young people and effected us all directly or indirect worldwide whether we like it or not. Theoretically why wouldn't a brand like Coke or Pepsi do the same? I've personally stopped buying Nestle products because the CEO is a maniac and I'm not the only one.

Change does take time though so the effects of this commercial are yet to be seen. It was very divisive and we're still talking about it so that's a good sign

This sort of delegitimizes the trauma men face as victims of sexual assault from women and how they fear to speak up about it. And im speaking as someone whos been sexually assaulted by a woman

It's a not a deflection in the same sense at all.

All Lives Matter only exists because Black Lives Matter exists as a form of demeaning the entire message behind BLM. It exists purely to spite BLM. Those people saying All Lives Matter don't really believe that because if all lives mattered, then Black Lives would matter too. Instead it's a reactionary protest with a thinly veiled message.

Violence, prejudice, and all other forms of misconduct exists with or without the other sex's involvement and are more prevalent in different ways.

There is marketability in displaying the message that men are bad and need to change, yet I'm waiting for the counterpart that calls out all of the forms of discrimination- not just against straight men by straight men but everyone.

It's not marketable to do so. If the climate was the other way, this same company would make a commercial about it.

Being openly emotional or acting more "feminine" is unattractive.
