Whoever said Tyler is dumb as hell, that man been saying he wishes he could do more producing for other ppl for almost a decade now
They don't want to accept artists don't actually like his beats and some aren't allowed to work with him either
Diddy and his crew. Q-Tip, these were super producers of their time. Large Professor, Pete Rock lmao wtf
Large P and Pete Rock were not producing for R&B and pop artists like Timbaland and P bruh
Probably not because of YouTube, and people’s ability to quickly get a beat like a lex or a metro for a fraction of the cost
Yea they were in a league of their own during the time
The producers I mentioned took what they did and expanded it to other genres
Not saying they were superior talent wise but Neptunes and Timbaland were doing beats for the entire industry not just rappers
Dre and Puff produced for singers too
They don't want to accept artists don't actually like his beats and some aren't allowed to work with him either
I think this’ll change tho cuz his production on this last album improved by a lot.
They don't want to accept artists don't actually like his beats and some aren't allowed to work with him either
Not to mention it seems like “new ideas” are the most frightening words in the entertainment industry rn
Dre and Puff produced for singers too
Yea but Justin Timberlake type singers?
I’m not saying they aren’t super producers I’m saying the era after them was the super producer ERA
If Tyler wants to get on his producer s*** he needs a protégé IMO. Someone who’s almost just a vessel for his ideas, but with a more marketable image
I started producing in 2017, when I tell you that Pierre drum kit (the tiny ass one, producers itt might remember it or even have it) was put to WORK
I feel like wheezy on his way. If any rapper other than NAV was on Emergency Tsunami he would be at that level rn imo
Nobody clamoring for a Pi'erre beat
his sound is literally one of the most popping rn

Yeah tyler is pretty much blackballed from working in the pop music industry. He pissed off too many people behind the scenes and he's too much of liability cuz of his past.
can somebody please report on DAVIDP's whereabouts?
improving his life by not being on KTT
Large P and Pete Rock were not producing for R&B and pop artists like Timbaland and P bruh
That's like trynna to take away from Miles Davis because he didn't work with singers.
Pete Rock's resume of Biggie, Rakim, Nas, Jay, Big L etc etc. the innovations of sound speaks volumes of itself.
pierre not a super producer
yeah these new cats not giving me that super producer feeling but maybe it’s the age proximity like i’m as old or older than these guys

Well I guess a part of him will never be satisfied then i wouldn’t be too hung up on it if I were him though, to be at the level he’s at with the amount of creative control he has is a blessing
Neptunes, Timbaland, Kanye era was a phase
There was nothing like it before and nothing like it afterwards imo. It’s not gonna happen again
This was the first time the producer was “all in the videos” and they had their own real stamp. They were giving niggas full songs with hooks, bridges, and all that. All the rappers had to do was spit 2 verses and the song was done. Pop/R&B artists too. They had more creative control over the music they were apart of. Plus niggas were paying BAGS for those beats. Like 6 figures if I’m not mistaken
Maybe I’m biased bc that’s one of my favorite eras for production but I don’t recall producers being that major in any other era. I don’t think the 2010s era was like that for rap producers outside of Mike Will and Metro
I do agree with this overall statement though. Diddy and the Bad Boy era pm started this
