There's no new rapper that truly hits all audiences outside their niche bases.
Street rappers are mainly listened to by street niggas. Same with female rappers resonate mainly with females. No crossover artists

It's the newer rappers who are failing to spearhead the genre in a newer direction that's causing the decline.
Beef has been around in hip hop for a very long time. Even when Rapper's Delight dropped, Grandmaster Caz dissed Sugarhill and accused Big Bank Hank of stealing all of his rhymes and selling out.
