Hip hop is dying because rappers who can’t even rap are getting pushed by the media and the newgens. And yall still have this stupid mentality when somebody really raps he is out of touch or dusty.
F*** all those weirdo alien voice rappers mumbling s***. Yall contributed to this hot mess

Safe to say that white rap fans and niggas appealing to those white rap fans have ruined the genre tbh

  • Everytime a big moment in hiphop happens y’all start making threads about the genre declining

  • I been saying for the longest that the fact that 10 years later everybody basically still just waits on one of the big three to do something in order to really care about what's going on in rap isn't sustainable for the continued growth of the genre.

Listen i am not black and I dont want to interfere with the black community what they think about hip hop. Hip hop is black whether you like it or not thats facts its a black culture and a person like me is an outsider but i see a lot of black youths don’t mind having a bunch or vultures in the game and even support them.
I just don’t get it. Its elvis all over again

I find it cool that the heavy hitters are keeping this genre alive. Most of these guys are all from the last decade too. Says a lot.

The better question would be, how come the market isn't embracing the newer artists or better yet, how come new rappers are truly connecting?

The decentralization of hip hop media has essentially made it impossible for people to find new artists that are getting lots of attention. Basically the attention is too spread out

I think black youth these days are very detached from the concept of unity. We are at war with each other so the last thing many of us care about is avoiding vultures

Ultimately it is just music, and they're young. They don't really see what's going on as bad because to them this is just what rap has been. They aren't really aware that hip-hop just used to be better and was in a much better and exciting place.

These days all they really know and care about are s*** rappers who blow up after one or two trending Tiktok songs. They don't really know what actually goes into this s*** and caring about the craft/genre.

Like I knew we were finished when niggas were acting like cheerleaders for a f***in 5'4 Canadian gremlin who makes Great Value versions of music from other popular rappers because he was in trial for shooting at a woman.

The standards are in the pits of hell.

I agree, and that just leads back to what I said on the last page.

Yeah but they ain't really getting attention like that cause unfortunately the average rap fan these days only cares about numbers and "what gets played at the clubs" that they don't even go to.
