I find it cool that the heavy hitters are keeping this genre alive. Most of these guys are all from the last decade too. Says a lot.
The better question would be, how come the market isn't embracing the newer artists or better yet, how come new rappers are truly connecting?

Yeah but they ain't really getting attention like that cause unfortunately the average rap fan these days only cares about numbers and "what gets played at the clubs" that they don't even go to.
