In-house web development & design + SEO. Base is $135k and with bonuses lands around $160k.
Building something from the ground up is a new challenge for me. Gotta figure out intake, account management, SLAs with clients, figure out other hiring needs, designing templates, etc.
The goal from what I've been told is to sale the company in the next 24-36 months. I'm fully vested from day one, so I'll be cashing out then and go from there
so your education background is pr and comms, and somehow you landed on this field of work which you taught yourself...damn...yeah now im curious about your learning resources

UX/UI - This is the only part that wasn't self-taught, I took a bootcamp during COVID. There was also some on-the-job learning that came into play from my first job and a few books that helped me think like a designer.
SEO - My first job out of college was designing websites for folks in the tours & activities space. We initially didn't offer any sort of SEO help for them, but as time went on decide to do that. Started with the basics from like keyword research, content auditing, technical SEO, etc. just from Googling and then learned to use tools like Moz & SEMRush. Those both offer more resources to learn from and come with a ton of tools.
Google A***ytics - Google has a course & certification for this. Pretty easy to complete. Once you've f***ed around in there a bit, it's pretty easy to understand (GA4 is ass though). From there I learned how to build reports in Data Studio, which is helpful for proving worth to clients.
I didn't hop in and start making bank. Started at $40k in 2017 and over the years worked my way up and refined my skills.

Years of building my skills up and learning while working. I know HTML, CSS and JS, but I hardly have to use any of it at this point unless I'm doing something custom.

she keeps tacking on responsibilities lmao
I started being low-key petty and being like "can you link me an example of another BA's approach to this so I have an idea on how to do this well?" and she'll always be like "well actually there's no other BA doing this, but I want us to get ahead"
Now I really need to work.
Coworker has 3 weeks off and need to do all his stuff beside my own
