JIK & Ye, everything else ranges from good to super classic

People need to catch up on Ye, that s*** was amazing

Hard to compare as a full album to his other projects tho as it was so short

Wyoming Era as a whole s***s on every era since tho

This song is boring

I like JIK
Could still be much better and didn't do its era justice. Water and the Clipse song are straight skips and some songs need that final touch to perfect the song

But Ye is just a lifeless album to me. Its ok but nothing really wants me to go back to it.

No at least JIK doesn’t have I Thought About Killing You, the biggest cringe fest Ye has ever dropped

Have you ever heard The Law of Attraction? It’s the better version of the Clipse joint and it’s actually one of the hardest unreleased Ye tracks ever

To me it embodies all the worst things of current Ye. How can you not accept ITAKY slander but you hating on an album that actually has legit emotion attached to it and sounds uplifting? Is it just bc of the religious preaching? JIK def isn’t one of his better efforts but I still like the album

It’s not hate it’s just a kind of weak effort. What does Ye have that literally any other Kanye project doesn’t have?

ITAKY sounds way more honest and in tune with the mindset of Kanye at the time than anything of JIK, sounds like he cut and pasted Yandhi and replaced words with Jesus themes

On God the only song his emotion shines through

Ands its even dumber sounding now that he completely gave up all that and was an obvious schtick

Definitely some good songs out of the era, but just overall a mess

Idk man, it might have been honest. To me it always came across more of being part of the edgy side of Ye that comes out when he’s not doing well mentally. I guess that counts as honest.. but it doesn’t translate to any emotional punch in the music itself for me. Just my opinion

At least Ye has Ghost Town though, which is an undeniable 10/10

The short, concise insight to the mind of Kanye at the time was to me one of his most honest, without the overdoing of the tinkering and tweaking that he has done for most projects of his. He just made it and dropped it quickly.

I love Vultures because except 2-3 songs that are more Ty songs, the album sounds like a real cohesive Ye project. I mean, the drums, the melody, the bass and the way ye delivers on some tracks (even though lyrically, it's still debatable), overall, it sounds like Ye essence.

Except a couple of tracks in Donda or TLOP, I didn't feel this since years

Yeah we’re not gonna agree at all. A large part of the tracklist is some of his best work in years.

Donda made his music feel big and cinematic again, while actually delivering on a cohesive sounding album as well and it just hits so much harder on an emotional level for me than a lot of other “modern” Ye albums

I will never understand the Donda hate. It’s probably the Ye album that made me feel the most emotions. One of the greatest comebacks ever
