Taking kids to a raunchy drag show is an obvious no though, I once went to a club where a drag queen was DJing and her crowd work was insane, pointed at a dude and said 'Look at those teeth! If you gave me a b****** I'd end up Jewish', that's stuck with me ever since

Hell yeah, they finna go to their 1st show by the time they turn 1
And then ima have them learn all about critical race theory.

Straight men dress in drag too. It’s just playing dress up to kids. Don’t get the big deal
A little under a decade ago my girlfriend and I were walking on the sidewalk and a guy started shooting so everybody hit the ground, we tried to get behind a parked car and I got in front of my gf but for at least 1/1000ths of a second my immediate instinct was to use her as a human shield

Bro was in a gta 5 online server
If your girl took your kid to see a drag queen reading children’s books in a library, would you be bothered?
why do you care so much man

Kids shouldn’t be in dance clubs in general tho, obviously they shouldn’t be at a drag show

Idk I just thought it was an interesting topic because I know a lot of people see drag as this hyper-sexualized thing, which it definitely can be but isn’t inherently.
A library reading basically removes the sexual aspect as opposed to like a club performance, so I was curious to know how that affected people’s opinions.
KTT is typically pretty progressive but does have a good blend of people on here and I wanted to see how everyone approached a pretty controversial thing.

the issue is not and has never been about drag queens. people attack drag as thinly veiled transphobia. most drag queens want absolutely nothing to do with a child. nor do they want them in adult spaces where they would have to censor their acts.
"drag queen story time" is only on the news because some people don't know the difference between drag queens and trans people and politicians jump at that opportunity. but i don't think there's any explanation you really need to give children for drag other than "some adults play dress up too"

this is actually real talk
I have 0 issue with trans people, gay people, cisgender straight people, we're all human
but children don't need to see overtly sexual content regardless of who makes it

The dynamic in that relationship could only be described as DrHunty-esque
