Anyone that s*** talks the Ringed City is a f***in dumbass
slave knight gael at least a top 5 boss in ds history
congrats
What's your build like?
Just pure strength. I started using the greatsword but I wasnt feeling it like I was in DS3 so I just went with the longsword and the moveset demolished everything.

I beat Slave Knight Gael without trying much so he's w.e to me. I liked the last phase but thats about it
the only bosses I like from that DLC are Midir and Demon Prince.
My favorite bosses are the ones that have you really moving that ass
So that would be
1. Nameless King
2. Midir
3. Demon Prince
4. Orphan of Kos
5. Sinh/ Fume Knight
No actual order
@rise_zero
I stand by Ringed City sucking ass tho
In terms of DLC, I would rank the entire soulsborne series as
BB DLC > Lost Crowns DLC >> Artorias of the Abyss > Ringed City >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ashes of Ariandel
Anyone who was playing Dark Souls 2 when the Season Pass was out knows what a vibe the 2 DLC pack was. They dropped them 1 by 1 and that lead to them adding more lore and story content to the game. Which them culminated in DS2 SOTFS (Basically the GOTY addition + Torches working).
Ugh, f*** Fume Knight. I remember that. Him and the Lud & Zallen fight in the DLC, I quit that s***
this is the only souls game i use a shield in. the dodging feels so awkward. in DS3 i'm flying around like a f***ing monkey.

yeah i figured that out a little late unfortunately lol

Fume is easy after awhile.
The only optional DLC boss I fight is Cool Ranch Smelter.
The DS2 DLC have the worst optional DLC bosses of all time.
DS2 is the only Soul's game where I refuse to fight every boss. From took a fat L with that one
DS2 DLC was amazing. I can't believe I use to think it was bad back on PS3. This game needed that remaster. DS1 remaster is legit a cash grab and it wasn't as fun as I remember. It aged terribly.

Yeah the DLC optional bosses can f*** off. I was just about to make that post about the optional bosses.

DS1 falls way the f*** off after Anor Londo. The four lords fights and their areas all suck except for New Londo Ruins. I like the Gwyn fight and the DLC though.
DS3 and Bloodborne remain my favorite Souls games by a massive margin.
I love Dark Souls 2. It has the most personal, human story, a ton of build variety, and is a massive experience. That's enough to make up for the unpolished, sometimes questionable design choices.

yeah i beat him on 3rd or 4th try. i think the lore behind him is actually what makes him interesting though.

Yeah, Dark Souls 1 is my least favorite game in the series. Still great, but the quality sharply declines after the first few areas and the basic design/mechanics are rough.
Nameless King f***ed me up so much that I'm playing Bloodborne and DS2 lol
He's the only boss from the main game I haven't beaten.

dragon slayer shield makes the fight a lot easier
kinda cheese tho lmao

I panic roll every time. It doesn't matter how much I gear up because I run straight into his attacks the moment he moves.

i feel you. instead of dodging just trying blocking with the dragonslayer sheild, i think you need 30 strength to even use it but its super op. barely drains your stamina when you're hit too.
DS2 probably my least favourite of the Dark Souls games (still better than Demon's Souls though) but overall I think it's a damn good game tbh
Majula is heavenly, easily the best hub in the series, it really feels like you're catching a breath of fresh air whenever you return there after some arduous s*** - makes it feel more like a 'journey' overall
some great areas and moments scattered throughout, and a story that's quite different and unique from the Miyazaki-directed games
top-tier DLC, like I can't recommend the Lost Crowns Trilogy enough, some really exciting s*** all through that - one of them has this insane one on one boss fight with this samurai dude on a huge balcony with this gorgeous sunset that is way more fun than anything in Sekiro imo
