X music hate is corny, I swear Ktt1 loved him. He was a massive breath of fresh air in hip hop imo

Ktt1 did not love him. X hate is still corny though

juice wrld and mid should never be in the same sentence. I know y’all tone deaf despite the avi

  • Jul 9, 2020

    nope

  • "? debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 131,000 album-equivalent units, with 20,000 pure album sales. It was XXXTentacion's only US number-one album during his lifetime."

Name any hip hop artist that sold at least 131k first week for their 2nd album and I bet you they are one of the biggest artists in the world

Because he is dead does not make his music suddenly amazing. People are delusional when rappers dies. How was he talented lmao, he was just a basic emo rapper. If he was alive today he would probably have faded away like Trippie or Yachty. Just like he was between his last album and death. Let’s be real guys, I liked the kid, but stop acting like he was top tier rapper.

X was keeping that entire wave afloat though, and he was much bigger than everyone else in it. Their 2018 album sales speak for themselves:

    ? - 131k
    Life's a Trip - 72k
    Lil Boat 2 - 64k
    Stokeley - 51k

I wasn't a fan of X or his music the fact that his album sales doubled in six months between releases says a lot. He was starting to branch out a bit from emo on ? too. He would probably be Travis-level today if he were still alive

Generally, X was not for people who lived with their heads up their asses. This is part of the reason I don't agree with the massive trajectory people assigned to him, he had too many people who didn't understand him. There's a reason every rapper alive f***ed with him and all the insane geniuses like Kanye, Badu, Kendrick etc had a special connection with him.

I feel bad for anyone who didn't understand him or still doesn't.

  • Do y'all not realize he's the 75th most streamed artist in the world rn..

Juice WRLD was the artist y'all think X is. He had the personality, ear for melody, hits, fanbase, AND he could actually rap

RIP both of them as well as Pop Smoke. All 3 were huge losses for the genre

Lol juice was good but his last album was terrible and it was because he made like 5000 songs a day with no effort put into them. X cared about making albums and it showed

I'm pretty open minded i just don't think his music was that good fam He had talent, charisma, a cult fanbase and a few hits but he never dropped a project that's too crazy imo

I’m not saying everyone who didn’t like X music was pretentious but there are a high amount of pretentious people who dismiss his music. He got more support from actual rappers and singers and important figures within the industry than pretty much anyone else, even from Kendrick who basically never cosigns people like that. There had to have been something to him

I mean he made bigger numbers than most artists nowadays, He was gonna be bigger than drake and that’s a fact, He one of the most streamed artists in Spotify and he couldn’t even expand his catalog to an extend that most artist have atm, Megastar wordlwide, Unlike drake who is mostly famous in the Us
