!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnHwWA5EPEcI hate when yall bring up wayne because he was born to do this s***
yeah he was talented
but my whole point is the kid rapping in these songs is not the man we heard in the late 2000s.
he had to work hard to develop his skill, and the idea that there’s a ceiling for rappers and you can never develop to become great is crazy lol i don’t even see how this is an argument
mac miller went from a cool college type rapper to becoming a real lyricist and great songwriter
drake in 06 was cool. but 5 years later he’s making some of the best music the genre has ever seen and dictating the sound of the culture
raw talent is beautiful, but skill is earned. those 10,000 hours matter. i’m not just saying it either, these niggas will tell you that themselves lol

Imagine going up to Wayne, Hov, Drake, Cole etc. and saying “You didn’t actually put in any work”
Telling someone they were born for this is obviously a big compliment and I’m sure anyone would appreciate it but the second you use that to discredit the hours they’ve had to put in they’d definitely tell you your absolutely wrong

of course he did. wayne is my goat and i know yall love to argue but i'd be willing to bet you never heard those songs before. most fans don't even care about the "putting in work" era.
back to yachty, i could have sworn he was dissin lyrical rappers on his come up (the opposite of what wayne did) so that's why yall should NEVER and i mean NEVER bring up wayne when discussing that red hair kid
who said they didn't put in work? f*** outta here dog
Because by saying “they’re special and were born great” your discrediting the hours and hours of work they had to put in to get to that level

thank you lmao
telling someone after they put in the work "you were put on this earth to do this" is not disrespectful no matter you dwebs say it's a compliment
So how did Wayne get so good?
i never said anything about how 'wayne got good' i still listen to wayne til this day while yall don't appreciate him. my point was that he's an alien and should NEVER be brought up in a yachty/lyrical conversation
some ppl with a straight face will tell u hes good and better than uzi somehow and thats just crazy to me
off of one rock album
should tell you how much they like hip-hop if that’s all it took

But we’re saying he wasn’t born an alien because he could rap like that out of the womb lmao
He’s an alien because the dude put in an insane amount of work to get that good
We’re saying Yachty hasn’t done that at all but for some reason acts like he has
first page needs their ears checked
EDIT: Whole thread does tbh
i be thanking God y’all aren’t A&Rs on here man lol

i dont care what yachty does, i dont care how much work he puts in he will never reach that wayne level that yall want him too. everybody can't be Jordan.
he has a great ear for production and using his voice as an instrument and may end of as one of the better producers of his time
but stop comparing him to wayne

Bro why are you acting like I’m some Yachty stan lol
I literally agree with you, He’s never gonna hit Wayne level
