how dis so far?
creepy and beautiful
best use of cgi in anime ive personally seen
wasnt there an anime adaptation of his stuff before
Indeed a mediocre one
I love the art style and vibe of this but this pacing feels awful in the first episode
Too much happening too quickly with no exposition or subtlety
First episode was so fire

I kinda just took it as the show is purposefully playing fast and loose with the absurdity of it all
I do feel you tho idr if the manga moves as fast in comparison

Feels like it's almost rotoscoped at moments but it's seamless. Really fits the uncanny nature of everything in this first ep

It is. It's a mix of multiple techniques

If you’ve never read his material before watch Junji Ito Collection, then maniac: tales of the macabre on Netflix. Both junji adaptions. Both good in my opinion
Only 4 episodes is crazy, it'd been an easier pill to swallow if they just said it was a movie
I'm strapped the f*** in tho regardless
Loved the first ep but apparently the 2nd one has a huge drop in quality????
WTF man
