Interesting, I just googled "Victory Garden", wasn't familiar with the term
Those Ranunculus look sick, just make sure you're in the right climate for them
Thinking of growing some Juniper soon. Recently got a Chinese lantern tree but it's f***ing lonely

Awesome, Junipers look really cool. Any tips on soils? Right now I'm in a north facing apartment. Decent window sill space

What's everyone been growing?
The only crops I grow ATM are Ginger and Tumeric but they were kinda set and forget.
I had spring onions at one point but I had no knowledge of soil compatability before i started so only a couple were successful
Newbie tips:
Do your research on what you're going to grow on. If you have land available, get to know your soil, your climate zone etc. This can provide you direction in selecting plants/crops
Start native, plants that are local to your area will most likely be a lot more hardier and tolerate your local conditions

It looks like you just need some well drained soil and to place them in a sunny position
Also it was the fungi/mushrooms that drew me to horticulture. I was burnt out from pure digital design, I wasn't getting any jobs during lockdown so I started looking into the whole mushrooms thing. That in itself is a whole study (mycology) but I figured I may as well get a broader understanding of cultivation so I just went with horticulture.
I think getting a live peyote plant is pretty tough. I wouldn't even know where to start looking
Instagram or grow from seed
I grew 2 marijuana plants, peanuts, tomatoes, banana peppers, bell peppers, and some flowers last summer :-)

how's it like growing peanuts n peppas?
The peanuts didn’t do too good I think I overwatered them a little bit
I only grew about 10 bell peppers and like 10 banana peppers but they tasted really good
might as well get peyote in there too
I had datura for a while but I have no idea how shamans use it

Awesome transition! Mycelian is earths super power. It's almost like a positive version of the venom suit. Heard it could've been used to clean up the oil spill, let alone the neurological benefits lion's mane etc have.
That's pretty dope
Ayo i was just gonna make a thread around this
Was listening to npr and they ran a story on farming and its relationship with black folk

@dedication What are you growing brother?
What are the basics?
Sorry forgot to reply to this post. Did you get started on anything in the meantime?
You don't have to necessarily start from seed and can buy ones that are already growing, I would recommend choosing something native to your area tho just because it might be easier to manage conditions
Do you have any outdoor space or are you just planning to grow something small by the window?
This guy Common is interviewing is pushing his little movement lol but he has a very positive agenda
