No. He's had some misses but his catalogue is filled with classics and good films. Across different styles and genres.

I already know that he has 8 straight solid-great features until Girl 6 (which I haven’t seen but know it has poor reception) so the idea that he actually has MORE misses than hits is big time CAP

And without knowing what films people actually think are misses, I can only assume that people are either talking out the ass or assuming that a black director can’t be as consistent as Spike is (which is really the only reason this conversation was even started in the first place)

Spike has several legitimate classics tho. Misses sometimes obviously but he's who he is because of the classics. Been around for over 30 years so its not like the misses are even that big a deal. Def not the one to be targeting when Tyler Perry still exists dropping completely awful movies

I seen all these posts about spike having more misses than hits and said hold up let me go check the filmography on Wikipedia. I went down the list and literally only about 4-5 joints I can say I do t really rock with and they were all pretty much recent joints.
