If I’m spending money on an artist buying things repeatedly and they tease a new album but they don’t drop anything on the date they said or they release some trash clothes then they are literally f***ing about with their fans and only using their fans for the monry

just like any other salesperson an artist obviously owes you something very specific as soon as you pay money for a thing until you get it
but an artist is taking on that role of salesperson whenever they want
i'm a zaywop fan and have spent money before expecting something from him in return
i got what i paid for, so there's literally no reason i should be entitled to get new music from him ever again since an artist can freely decide whether they're going on with that artistic work or not

I would much rather have a Kanye who "gives people what they need and not what they want" always reinventing himself and experimenting... if he would "owe the fans" he would have made 10 "college dropouts" back to back, since that was what fans wanted
