Well there's no way to stop your hair from growing up top, so you might have to do a full chop and start over

You could start getting a taper and wait until the sides are long enough to start twisting. Gonna look rough for a bit but the top should be able to cover the sides if you got the length

anybody in here ever comb out their locs? had locs for 2 years but now i wanna rock my curls/braids but dont wanna start over again lol

Have done it a few times, you'll need a s*** ton of conditioner and prepare to be at it all day or even two.

deep conditioning and detangling once a week/two weeks and not using daily products has done wonders for my hair, but i have a specific texture
