The whole “sample snitching” thing is just pure greed and selfishness. If you’re just making the song to make it then it’s w/e. But niggas think they entitled to reap the benefits while never having to give someone else their cut for using their work.

inb4 it’s the labels and not the artists who own the samples 🤓

Roc Marciano shares the same sentiment.

  • 7el7

Roc Marciano shares the same sentiment.

    Of course he would.

Most producers that just loop a sample and dont even try or attempt to be f***ing creative and chop it up ( niggas like madlib, dilla, and mike) are gonna be the loudest voices on sample snitching.

The funny s*** is like…dawg it’s not like niggas is even using rare gems either

As a producer that both samples and just makes musical s***, lot of these niggas need to nut tf up and learn some music theory or sumn

Most times when I wanna get the sample of a song it's not because I'm gonna flip the sample myself, or going to report it to the original artists or bands.

I wanna get the sample because it's a good song and I've grown tired of hearing some dusty nigga in his late 30s early 40s screaming about selling d**** and killing people over a 1960s/1970s soul track.

Tired of these goofy ass producer niggas gatekeeping samples, and I'm glad song identifying apps are becoming more common.

  • Nooo I don't want people knowing the song I used to make my own song

Stfu cornball d***head don't sample then

the solution though is to dig for obscure s*** and flip more creatively

sometimes a sample is fine as is however

  • I share samples for all my records personally. F*** imma hold on to it for.
