40 had a point. The albums would be better received if they were shorter.

But Drake also has a point, in which he has a lot of styles and there's a lot of different types of Drake fans who want different things.

Overall I think he should just drop a 10 track project. One entirely rap focused. And then the same but RnB focused. He'll alienate some fans, but f*** it.

Don't move this. Made in Drake sxn at first but I want variety in responses

Scorpion was already two 10 track albums basically and it got panned despite being great

Somewhere in between. 40 wants 10 and Drake wants 25. Give me 18.

It was far from great.. drske tries to pander to too many groups which is the reason most of the times his albums get mixed reviews

  • In between. 10 is too short for me. DLDT was the perfect if you add an interlude

But people will always criticize it because it isn't solely their style of Drake or there's not enough of it. So it's best to put whatever works with the project instead of trying to appease to everyone on one album.

I’m with 40 100%. The argument that he can’t provide variety with a shorter album makes zero sense. Nothing was the same is drakes most well received album and everyone loves it lmao

drake just cares more about money than quality, can you blame him?

lmao that drake part is what hurt him with views. Too many styles that didn't really gel together and wasn't cohesive at all

lol that's only bc they did kind of use both approaches on that album. almost every track on NWTS had a beat switch.

His last three projects have no cohesion

it wouldnt make sense for drake to do that at this point in time imo, hes still one of, if not the biggest artist in the world

it’d be cool to see him try just to hear what the outcome would be but ive already gotten so much dope s*** from him

and a lot of that comes from his willingness to experiment and try out different sounds, not just rap

16 tracks on the standard and then drop the rest on the deluxe

  • Oct 16, 2020

17 is the right number for me.

As a Drake stan i love having 25 songs but i think 10 is to short for Drake he got so many styles, i could see a 10 song r&b only or rap only but with all genres Drake normally does i need minimum 15 songs tbh

*16 songs is the best sweet spot imo. Enough songs to try different things but not too much where going through the album starts to feel like a chore.
