The fact that drake thinks that he should just repeatedly make the same songs based on the 5 lanes he’s good in is why I don’t f*** with his music like I used to. Even though the single was awesome and I am excited for the album.

Each album should be a new creation. A new idea. He has the talent to be THAT kind of artist. He came in the game with a genre changing mixtape.

However he’s part of the big machine now and he has to produce numbers in order to use the leverage he has for his lucrative deals. It’s all about money at the end of the day, and to a lesser degree about placating all his fans.

That being said, what I personally want is the 10-12 song rap album. Make just one measly album or mixtape that is geared towards the art and not the numbers.

And then you can return to the hits.

If Drake ever does a 10 song album it has to be a “side project” like More Life

Content wise if you’ve heard one Drake album you’ve heard them all.

Hes played with new sounds like dancehall type tracks or the bounce songs on Scorp but ultimately his albums feel the same
