    14-15 tracks, no fillers, no interlude. All fire songs basically like NWTS just without the interlude

    40 >>>>>

    but Drake's tactic of padding out albums makes total sense from a financial pov;

    casual drake fans with limited attention spans have about 25 tracks to scroll through to see which one they'll add to their playlist; the more tracks that these fans can get on their respective playlists the better it is for Drake and OVO's pockets

    This tactic is win-win for Drake because the die hard fans/music listeners who are more avid music listeners probably do the same thing

    He’s gotta do it at some point

    “I got way too big off Views” .. realest bar.

    I agree with 40, I want a 10-12 song album from Drake. At this point idk why Drake can’t drop a Hip-Hop/R&B album and satisfy his other fans with loosies or even singles that don’t make a project.

    I side with 40. A shorter album that's to the point without any "fillers" would be more ideal. It doesn't need to be a 10 track rap album. A 15 track album shouldn't be too difficult for Drake to achieve. He's done around that before. He needs to stop trying to appease the masses and create a product that makes sense for where he is at this point in his career.

    As a fan, it's great having an artist that you admire put in the work and consistently keep their fans fed. Drake does a great job of putting out a good amount of loosies each year on top of some sort of project, whether it be a mixtape or an album. I bring this up to say, we as fans of his get a lot of music throughout the year. Not all songs recorded need to be jam packed in an album just because. In the Rap Radar interview, he states that it gets difficult picking the songs that get cut and the ones that make an album because as an artist, there can be an attachment to certain songs. Thats where the longer albums come in to play.

    In my opinion, aside from the beef, what hurt Scorpion so much was the length. With the exception of some songs, as an entire project I just can't get into it. But this is where Drake's argument can get the slight edge - what some fans like other fans may not like. I guess i'm trying to say that I see both sides, but I would much rather prefer Drake releasing a project that's around 15 tracks. IYRTITL and NWTS are a perfect blend of his two styles. They are both considered to be concise by most.

    S*** like this is why Drake feels the way he does, he has a whole group of people that listen to him purely for his R&B

  • I would like 12 tracks

    All this wait just for a 12-14 track album f*** no we better be getting 18-20 tracks. Some for everyone

    bc a lot of it was filler lol

    seems like he had a strong regular drake album and put a bunch of weaker rap and rnb cuts to finally make that rap/rnb double album lol

    Finally someone who understands why Scorpion isn’t the rap/rnb double album we wanted
