I have heard one person from my job say this as well.

    bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-06-01/return-to-office-employees-are-quitting-instead-of-giving-up-work-from-home

“They feel like we’re not working if they can’t see us,” she said. “It’s a boomer power-play.”

yeah not gonna lie. i’ve been real happy working from home this past year and a half

if my company forces us to go back in full time i may start looking for another company that continues to offer WFH

however, if they only make us come in a few days a week that wouldn’t be the end of the world

as long as i never have to go in the office for a full 5 days ever again i’m good

I dont see the issue, if productivity isnt affected and goals are being hit. Good for them if they want to quit, its their choice.

They are being affected & reports have found people WFH are less likely to receive raises

facts, the selling point of WFH this whole time has been that productivity has gone up in most cases

I'll send you some more after work. My job for the last 6 Months has been following the trend & consulting on employment tribunals

This is good especially for mothers. I hope workplaces get more competitive and WFH becomes a standard. That said, I enjoy coming into work for the social aspect

It's case by case but recent reporting has shown the opposite

But the problem is they haven't factored in WFH as a methodology hasn't had time to be perfected: we were thrown into it & no one has really focused on maximising it

When I started WFH in March I was taking more calls, more meetings & working later - so obviously it was tough. But we're in a much better position now & this needs to be reflected in the literature. Companies now have WFH policies & HR Managers are trained in managing remote employees using technology

It's ironically too early to be sending people back to the office IMO this is not an "experiment" - people want & prefer this

    Anyway I'll post more reports

Did you see the "Would you rather get a 21K pay rise or WFH indefinitely?" debate?

true i'd agree when my city was in lockdown I was loving WFH but after a while it lost its novelty and I needed socialisation. Depends on the people you work with for sure

Using work as your main form of socialization is crazy imo.

But ive always mainly worked from home so idk. I just talk to friends throughout the week through video games or video chat after work, or calls/group chats n social media throughout the day until we all have time to meet up in person n whatever in the week.

    Then repeat.
