I think COVID definitely helped expedite this. Now that everyone can essentially start a business from their phone it’s going to continue down this path which I’m here for
Yessir and it’ll be glorious
yeah not gonna lie. i’ve been real happy working from home this past year and a half
if my company forces us to go back in full time i may start looking for another company that continues to offer WFH
however, if they only make us come in a few days a week that wouldn’t be the end of the world
as long as i never have to go in the office for a full 5 days ever again i’m good
I been WFH gonna start going in 2 times a week next month. Could be worse but id rather just stay full time wfh
WFH is the new 9-5 workday movement
They're all gonna have to adopt it in some form at some point
Thought they couldnt get it if they quit
I’m a respected member of the workforce so i wouldn’t know
they didn't even add being around a******s to the list
And ancient dress code, and more a******s
Good good
Time to get that job at Apple or Google
My position is a perfect candidate for remote but the Texas office has had to come in full-time since the very beginning of pandemic
The california office had harder lockdowns and got to WFH for what feels like 2 years now
I dont see the issue, if productivity isnt affected and goals are being hit. Good for them if they want to quit, its their choice.
somes bosses have a weird fetish of keeping everyone together. It's weird cause not every human wants to be friends and family with their coworkers
interesting, are there specific reasons why productivity has fallen?
also just looking at the PWC report you posted, I kinda take issue with comparing WFH as it is now to WFH from 2012-2017 when it definitely wasn't the norm. I feel like if the majority of workers were WFH, we wouldn't see these kind's of disparities in bonuses. but that's just my unscientific opinion.
the only thing I do agree with is unpaid overtime. it's much easier to take work home with you when you're actually at home. but that makes me question the productivity argument as well.
i can say that I spent a good two hours goofy off on ktt during the workday, and wrapping up everything else fine for the rest of the 8 to 5. It's such a good experience smh.
Covid cured my f***ing stress depression from work.
I didn't think people were this antisocial
I don't think it's an antisocial thing
people are just lazy/entitled

no people just don't want to go to an office an hour away if they don't need to lol.
I didn't think people were this antisocial
people don't like their coworkers like that
