People don't like this album? I thought Relapse was when he lost people. I liked his s*** up until like 2011
It’s notoriously panned. Some citing it as the worst album of all time back then. But honestly, in hindsight, the people had much, much worse in stock
I actually really like Evil Deeds
Evil Deeds is mostly good except for that echo on the first verse
The only encore song I hype up like that
Decent song but feels very incomplete. For a better song on the album with similar sound see the title track

That’s the only thing I don’t like. Thankfully I got an edit where it was toned down immensely

It’s honestly just fine. Em had a good verse, Nate Dogg didn’t give a performance of a lifetime but he sounded good even if the hook doesn’t make sense for Nate, 50 was alright, but it’s just a song that exists
The title track will always be my jam. However one might want to cut it off once the beat fades. iykyk

Yeah I mean it’s pretty short. And didn’t really need a feature from 50. Feels thrown together.
He should have done three full verses on it with that beat and hook and it would rival Till I Collapse

Yeah I’ve read a lot of people don’t like it but it’s never bothered me, I get it though it can be jarring
The only encore song I hype up like that
50 lowkey out-rapped Em on this.
Nate Dogg

50’s verse is ok, it’s kinda just rappity rap though.
“To be specific I go ballistic as hieroglyphic”

I was a kid at the time but I loved it. Didn't even have a computer just a CD player lmao

In short, it’s not enough

I would say hip hop heads, stans and critics hated it and the general public loved it.
Even though Just Lose It is leagues below Without Me in quality, it’s remembered just as fondly by popular culture.
Songs like Mockingbird and Like Toy Soldiers were massive. All over MTV at the time. Mockingbird was inescapable.
This was also his first album after 8 Mile where his reputation had improved and he gained a massive influx of fans (hard to believe with how popular he was at the height of MMLP). He was never bigger in the public eye than during the Encore era.
As someone who heard encore around its release as an 8 or 9 year old I was shocked to grow up and see it viewed to be a stain on his discography
If TES and Encore didn’t leak early and have to be moved up, they both would probably have done 2m first week.
As is with a midweek release Encore sold 710k in three days after being leaked like 6 days prior.
With one day of tracking The Eminem Show which was being bootlegged two weeks early and had every hook leaked a month early sold 284k.
The first time an album every topped the charts with one day of sales.
Yeah its not bad that encore track is one of my fav along with Yellow Brick Road, Spend Some Time, Crazy In Love and Mockingbird
Mockingbird is a classic
Album is very mixed.
Half of it literally sounds like a parody of Eminem and aged like milk while the other half has strong songs with deep messages.
Evil Deeds is mostly good except for that echo on the first verse
GETTIN DROPPED OFF GETTING DROPPED OFF GETTING DROPPED OFF
HEAD POPPED OFF HEAD POPPED OFF HEAD POPPED OFF HEAD POPPED OFF
Have you read that article/interview when he says stimulate was supposed to be the orginal intro …. I think it came out sept 14 or 18th 2022
