BMZI’m not a fan of hard knock life either lol. Bass sounds off, mid verses but at least it actually has a decent beat with that piano loop in the verses. Crazy in love and like toy soldiers are just bad flips.
Also what do u mean great for their era? What are u measuring that off?
I never said the song encore was hateable just mid. Nothing verses, pointless 50 feature. Nothing particularly memorable

Then you get older and go damn what the f*** was he doing on tracks 8-14
Then you become an adult and realize Straight From the Lab EP was God working because that whole middle section is awesome lol. dude was literally fried from d**** and talking straight nonsense and still sounded in full control as an MC and like he knew what he was doing. as crazy as it is Rain Man is proof that his skill was/is embedded in him at a cellular level
