I would wait till wave 4 comes out to decide, since the expansion has been garbage so far and that one might be the only one worth copping for the new story/units/classes.

I have the expansion but i got it for free otherwise I might not have copped at all. The only paid unit we got so far is Anna who is complete garbage even with availability from chapter 3 and has 0 supports, and I’m honestly not sure what else I’m getting from this pass rn

my main issue with gronder is the 3 paladins on the BL side that bumrush you from your starting position if you approach the ballista, which is utter bullshit. i knew about it in advance so i was able to move everyone over the bridge and choke it but it basically forces DP if you didnt know. the BL units also moved in a way where they just lined themselves up to eat gambits near the middle, but on BL hard i do remember the third army being more imposing. this video explains some issues i have with the chapter better

when i was talking bout improved map design, one i had in mind specifically was ch14 (the fire trap); it struck a really good balance of overwhelming yet fair at first, which made fire trap way more satisfying. but on hard, breaking through the enemy is pretty effortless and i prolly coulda routed the whole s*** if i tried to.

i have seen the fe4 video that u linked me though, and i do know a lot about the game from following the franchise, i just havent played it yet lmao.

Been playing through the Blue Lions/Azure Moon route. At the final fight and bout to marry Lythisea Best route in the game, don’t think any of the other ones gonna top it for me. At least Crimson Flower didn’t.

honestly the only problem i had with gronder was the f***ing hill i kept forgetting NOT to go on it and the two times i did were an absolute death sentence for me. when i finally remembered to avoid actually going on it i pretty much dominated the fight.

tbh the dlc has been underwhelming
i think with how well the game did and byleth coming to smash theres hope for a season pass 2. i grinded the game super hard when it came out, got like 300 hours, but didnt get to finish edelgards route. i was honestly hoping for a kind of bonus arc for her route since its the shortest.
overall though, i think the game did good. it sold really well and showed the devs how we feel about the game, they made it really story driven, and even though the game has its faults, i think the next FE, if it builds on TH, will be really really good

dimitris growth is probably some of the best ive ever seen in any audiovisual media ever. i picked him for my first route because he seemed the least appealing but he blew me away
the first chapter after the timeskip where you kill the thieves was amazing
his crit lines, how its just the two of you, the music, and everything he said just made it so surreal

Dimitri’s probably already one of my favorite characters of all fiction. His growth was so natural and heart wrenching at times, not to mention its also pretty grounded. That scene where he delivers his redemption speech to Byleth and the rest of the Blue Lions was so well done. The voice acting was on a whole ‘nother level once his voice started to crack and you can hear how sincere he truly was And at the end when he reaches his hand out to Edelgard for her chance of redemption was something special. He wasn’t stupid enough to think that Edelgard wouldn’t try to kill him which is why he immediately put her down once she made her move, but he didn’t want her to die a monster in the end. And really the parallels between them are so good too. Dimitri started off in the timeskip as a Monster but ended it as a Human. Edelgard started off of as a Human, albeit twisted one though and ended it as a Monster (Both figuratively and literally). So beautiful I don’t think I’d consider 3 Houses one of my favorite games oat, but Dimitri’s story is absolutely one of my favorite arcs of all time.

However, everything Punished Dimitri said was f***ing hilarious. You give him some health and he just straight up calls you pathetic I remember one time I spoke to him in the Monastery and he threatened to kill me for no reason

But also f*** Patricia. B**** started so much s*** just because she wanted to see her daughter and didn’t care about the repercussions it would cause. Never seen her on screen once but she’s easily the biggest b**** and worst character in the game.

i swear nobody on the entire forum talks about this game, took half a year for a thread for it to come
i really felt bad for edelgard. if you played her route youd know she has feelings for dimitri and its even somewhat present in the blue lions route so you can tell that it breaks his heart to have to fight her. i feel like in the game nobody gets a good ending tbh. edelgards backstory, bernadettas father, the chair in mariannes room , claude dealing with racism, jeritza's past, theres so much.
i think the deepest part about dimitri for me was actually what you mentioned, with how he just spends all his time in the chapel, he cant deepen his supports, and how he said if he wanted to get rid of the people who he hates, he has to become exactly like them. t
i think the only characters i hated were hubert (his face mostly), caspar (his face), and i didnt really like hanneman. mostly because his support line with dorothea creeped me out
i think most of my dislikes for the game are just gameplay wise, story wise, other than how brief edelgards route is and how silver snow is just a copy paste, the story is handled really well

The A support between Dimitri and Felix hits so hard too, especially when they show those where they now type notes at the end of the game. They truly became like brothers and Dimitri’s death sent Felix into a breakdown

Lythisea’s backstory hits hard too It’s similar to Edelgard’s but the way it impacted them is really different.

Most unintentionally funniest part about the route is how you murk all of Claude’s house just for y’all to team up like 3 chapters later

i think seteth and flayns dynamic was crazy. their support line and if you do crimson flower some of seteths battle quotes were done so well. dude really sounded like a father who didnt want his kid to die
i liked felix tbh. i feel like hes the only one who's realistic about things. esp with how ingrid wants to be a perfect knight and yeah his growth with dimitri was really good
i heard sylvain and mercedes' support was really good but i didnt get to finish. his support with hilda was my favorite just because he somehow got played and i couldnt tell who was gonna play who lol

Might finally do my blue lions playthrough once all the DLC is out

man i f***in love seteth and flayn lmao. i def thought seteth was a d*** at first, but after playing through silver snow and watching his supports that man is such a homie, and the lore behind those two is really fascinating too
felix is one of my favorite characters in the game, especially on CF route where he gets so much unique dialogue that its almost canon. on his own route though that man is an absolute d*** pre-timeskip lmao but in the end his best ending is as the shield of faerghus by dimitri's side.
all of sylvains supports are extremely high quality tbh, and its the same with dorothea and lorenz - all the flirts in the game get insane development

i feel you. at first i stg flayn was like 13 and so i didnt blame seteth for being overprotective and then there was this one part where in CF you and edelgard breach the monastery and fight against seteth flayn catherine and rhea|| and if you try to ||kill flayn before seteth theres a line and seteth is like "flayn please leave i beg of you" and the way it was voice acted was just next level. him and dimitri had amazing voice actors
i honestly didnt watch all of sylvains supports but i can kinda tell he probably lowkey hates women lol. i feel like every character has a sort of thing you dont expect about them and for him id guess itd be that
