after like 4 years of playing it on and off i finally beat path of radiance the other day, great f***ing game.
just started playing through radiant dawn and damn this s*** is a lot harder
literally started playing por the other day lol
it starts off really slow but I used to play Rd when I was younger so I'ma give it a bit longer
its kinda jarring to go back to it after TH and fates though

Yeah it does start off real slow, it took me years to get past the first 8 chapters lol. Once u do get that far though and u get access to the base, the game picks u up by the balls and never lets go
RDs thing was everyone can support everyone but there are no convos so it’s purely a gameplay thing. It’s pretty weird yea but I guess base convos make up for it, and it’s at least better than the GBA supports where u might never see one on a blind run. PoR does have normal supports though, and it’s pretty well implemented imo, but still much more limited than 3H and fates if you’re used to that

yup im at that part rn actually, bouta play later
skills r rlly weird too, i took one off boyd n i cant put it back, its really different from how it is now. one thing i do like is that theres more weapons. its not just iron steel silver brave
rd being my first but i can say for sure the black knight is just as intimidating as i remember him to be. i dont remember anything but honestly i think both TH and RD shouldve had seperate supports for after the timeskip, but the cast is huge so its understandable why they didnt do it.
i think im gonna play both blind just because of how the force feeding nature of walkthroughs n how easy it is to get burnt out from that you know

lol at least you luckily picked a good skill to remove, the skills on the first few characters are pretty bad (i remember only soren's adept and mia's vantage being really good) and boyd's tempest is the worst of em because of what it does to his hit rates. i really liked the weapons too with there being a lot of effective weapons in this game but 4 weapon slots was really restrictive (prolly by design) and most were dedicated to hand axes and javelins because 1-2 range is broken in this game especially once you can forge them
yea i think playing blind is definitely a good idea, you only get that experience once and the game is easy enough to do it. only advice i have is to train mist despite how garbo she is when she joins; its completely optional but youll know why once you get to a certain point.
just bought the dlc
couldn't take hard mode and had to switch back to normal first chapter, and i've been playing FE for more than a decade, since FE7 was released (favourite game of all time). Just don't have the patience/heart anymore

How has it been so far? Haven’t touched the game in months but I’m thinking about doing a play through of the DLC and then starting a new route after

It's ok, I think someone mentioned it's not worth the price it is in this thread and I agree. I think it's only 7 chapters and I'm 1 1/2 hours deep and already on chapter 4 (admittedly only on normal mode). Cool concept though but I just don't care about all the cosmetic parts of the DLC.
Better off just playing another FE game tbh, but then again i'm not the biggest fan of 3H
Only thing i'm hoping for is a little deeper lore into the Abyss that will hopefully be expanded on further in the chapters. I also really like how it feels more like older FE games with less focus on the school related activities
Also why TF was Jeritza only made available in the first patch? If I knew this I wouldn't have done BE first. Maybe if i ever decide to do no NG+ Nightmare BE for the title screen I'll use him

Respects. I’ve read there’s another expansion coming out sometime in the near future so maybe I’ll wait for that
Never played Path of Radiance so I’m thinking of hopping on that next have only heard great things

PoR is a great one to play
I beat the game taking Edelgards route. Gonna start DLC once I fix my joy con drift or buy new ones.
This is my first FE game and I love it.

Play the other routes. They have different second half missions and storyline.

I am once I finish DLC. I’m gonna do the other route on Black Eagles, and then the other houses.
Nothing beats playing the first two Fire Emblem games on Gameboy. Those were two of my favorite games of all time.
