    Fascinating how OP will explicitly mention to not do the "well just do x" thing, but people do it anyway. You're not doctors and OP has likely already tried all those things if he's having damn suicidal thoughts.

    Really sorry about your condition though yo. Can't imagine what its like to not sleep when you need to and the impact it has on your life. On the bright side 4 days out of the week is pretty good for that disorder, and maybe it'll get better with years and time. Sounds like you need a therapist though. A therapist and some financial and residential independence.

    I just did a google search out of curiosity though, and learned that there are a lot of A list celebrities with insomnia as well, like Rihanna, George Clooney, and even Madonna. So hey, its not the end of the world.

    also insomnia is an extremely complex disorder with a multivariate pathology. it's naïve of OP to assume he has exhausted every single treatment possible for something like insomnia just because he's had it since he was 10.

    I know u tried everything u said but to make sure have u tried cutting out screen time a hour-couple hours before u go to sleep?

    this helps more then people would think! goin for a lil walk before bed to cut out the screen time helps

    I get lots of exercise it does help! I’m trying to a bit less these days to keep the calories cause I’m very thin but this fir sure helps just not enough unfortunately

    ever since I started taking zinc regularly my sleep quality has gone up and I fall asleep earlier.

    bro my dreams are so crazy. and if I have to wake up to piss in the middle of the night I can dive right back into the dream I was having before I woke up to piss.

    everyone always says if you smoke weed you can’t dream but nah you just need some zinc

    No problem man, some people don't understand that sometimes you just want people to listen and aren't always looking for "advice". Mad ignorance in this thread from non-insomniacs who would never understand (not that I have insomnia, but I understand I will never understand).

    Anyway if you're insured consider therapy to talk about these thoughts. And be upfront about it the next place you work, my workplace now is pretty flexible with my coworkers with sleeping problems. Maybe there will be some treatment for it in the future.

    for sure i feel like therapy would help with the suicidal thoughts, doctors just tell me to take sleep meds but i dont like having them around cause im fr scared im gona kill myself with them, for the most part im a happy mfer life can be sick sometimes its just insomnia f***ing up my potential gets me rlly down sometimes

    That’s rough to go through for sure. A lot of times medications can work, but since you’ve been in and out on using them, a lot of daily routine things may help more. cutting screen time, doing relaxing things before bed. i found showering at night, and cleaning my bedding makes a cozier area. also the exercise and proper diet/water to not be thirsty or have other body signals keeping you awake. you know your body best and over time with more medical opinion you’ll be able to figure this out. good luck, op.
