It’s basically a set of protocols to train your body to use your bed for sleep, but since you’ve had so many sleepless nights in bed, your body uses the bed as a place to worry or anything else but actually sleep.

There are my notes I took

Bed - only use for sleep and s***You should fall asleep in 10-15 minutes
If you don’t fall asleep in 15 minutes, get out of bed and room and do something peaceful and quiet. Read a book, listen to music, etc but no screens
    Go back to bed
If you can’t sleep repeat until you fall asleep in 10-15
    No naps
Being tired the next day will help reset the pattern
Keep doing this until you consistently fall sleep in 10-15 minutes
Some people takes about 4 days to get into a routine, some 7-10

    Most effective treatment for insomnia
    More effective than medications

Go to bed within an hour of sleep time, wake up same time every day

Magnesium is good for when I've been up so long that all the muscles in my body are twitching and I feel like my skin is crawling

I don't use it every night but when I've been up 20+ hours or slept under 3 hours it seems to work

I've used melatonin gummies every night I have to get up for work for the past year and a half, and I definitely feel the wave of fatigue hit, at which point I know it's time to make a concerted effort to sleep. Doesn't always work but they help a little.

That just sounds like magnesium deficiency bro

  • Jun 4, 2023

yes but it's usually not based on insomnia alone...when I can't sleep it tends to have more to do with me dwelling unnecessarily on things from the past and then I get in my head the more it goes on which is when you grow frustrated and the "maybe just end it" thoughts creep in occasionally

if I just can't sleep but don't have anything particular on the brain then it's just annoying as f*** and I'll just try smoking another bowl or drinking some liquor to make me drowsier lol

probably going to delete this soon cause every argument on ktt results in ppl bringing up threads you have made to use as ammunition but i deadass want to kill myself i cant f***ing sleep at night i get to fall asleep 4 out of the 7 days a week usually the other times i cant my body wont let me create a cohesive sleeping schedule. I cant seem to hold down a regular job because of it i am in a currently living in a really toxic situation i gotta move out soon somehow and medication seems to make me rlly groggy and depressed and no one understands i just moved back in with my family and i hate them all except my mom they are riding my ass these days idk what to do boys op down bad

    That sucks
    you got narcolepsy
Try not to get addicted to Benzos

Try regular exercise and a structured timed diet. Maybe even start eating the same exact food at the same exact time every day, that could help get your internal clock in order.

    Best of luck
