This happens if you don’t soak them first. Try soaking legumes for 24 hours before cooking them and those problems disappear

just put them in a sealed bag & put it in a fridge chore it lasts fine, or you can even get pre packaged spinage leafs which i do sometimes.
last like a week or so like any other refrigerated veggie. idk why you would just have that s*** chilling outside lol idk anyone that does that with veggies beside potatoes.
