Tyler did it to himself. Pharrell a pretty boy and hood niggas was f***ing with him when he got the Nore, Diddy, HOV, snoop, etc co sign which the youth of that time were listening to. Tyler was standoffish in his come up he should’ve made songs with Wayne and other rappers or pop musicians whose popularity were at the peak of the youth of that time instead of waiting until Cherry Bomb. Tyler can complain all he wants but he knows it’s his fault

Tyler is semi blackballed and that will never change. By dissing those artists he also pissed off their team and management who also work with tons of other artists too. By burning one bridge he burned like 10 other ones lol. He'll never get to work in the pop industry.

Maybe the public has forgave/doesn't care about Tyler's past but the people in the industry do not forget. They will hold a grudge and blackball people that cross them forever. He pissed off the wrong people and now he's paying for it.

People forget that this thread isn’t about Tyler but more about mainstream cookie cutter production being regurgitated to death instead of using more obscure production.

LA beat makers have even more obscure production than Tyler’s. Tyler music is only slightly left field. People will cop out and still call him a nerd clone instead of being influenced by them and spinning it into something of his own.

Regardless of what you think you can definitely hear Tyler’s own essence in his production rather than just hearing nerd/Neptune’s/ Pharrell.

But the point of this thread is artists copping out of trying something different with their production choices.

Best example is The Weeknd, he changed up his production from various recent albums. Star boy was a step into pop and after hours literally went more into pop.
