Songs like that were popular, so maybe in 20 years we will be reminiscing about songs of 2020 like why people don't make s*** like this anymore.
Anyway it's all pretty much matter of what instruments being used, it's not some 10 chords jazz.

People forget that this thread isn’t about Tyler but more about mainstream cookie cutter production being regurgitated to death instead of using more obscure production.
LA beat makers have even more obscure production than Tyler’s. Tyler music is only slightly left field. People will cop out and still call him a nerd clone instead of being influenced by them and spinning it into something of his own.
Regardless of what you think you can definitely hear Tyler’s own essence in his production rather than just hearing nerd/Neptune’s/ Pharrell.
But the point of this thread is artists copping out of trying something different with their production choices.
Best example is The Weeknd, he changed up his production from various recent albums. Star boy was a step into pop and after hours literally went more into pop.
MDM is reminiscent of trilogy.Rappers will post on Twitter asking for hot beats and then go and use a jetsonmadethesameone track

I don't really get what's so unique about the production on Milkshake. It's dope but I could point to other songs with similar sounds at the time.
I tried to think of a song that is kind of equivalent to Milkshake and I feel like that might be The Box.It's still part of today's sound but it has a bit of uniqueness to it to make it stand out.
