Ready To Die easily for me but I've always liked BIG's style over Nas. Big might have the most replay value of any rapper ever imo

Illmatic is more of a concise project. However ready to die is a vibe and has amazing replay value. Both classics.

Bigs beat selection and flow is what set him above and for me. However, I could argue that illmatic is the greatest hip hop album of all time.

Maybe the concise one should win. I don’t ducking know. Both amazing albums.

Of course, Illmatic is basically a perfect album. I just prefer Bigs style and his flow/song building to Nas. Puff may get some credit for that, too. Life After Death and RTD both are near perfect for me

Surprised this isn't more of a common debate in rap, considering they came out around the same time and both are NY classics. Illmatic aura hard to beat

But, if it boils down to these 2, then it's Illmatic for me easily.
