The production on Illmatic hasn’t aged well. The production on RTD still sounds crisp. Also, Big had hotter bars

Ready to Die and Life After Death are such illustrative albums

Both of them are like movies. Nas could never.

Illmatic Is still a 5 star album but ready to die has always been a better listen to me.

i think we gotta stop with the narrative that illmatic is the perfect rap album

cause if there are albums we listen to or like more

Personally I’d pick Ready To Die but both albums are top 10 of all time, can’t go wrong with either
