$200 million today is worth a lot more than $200 million over the span of 20 years

  • Pedro

Add to the fact that streaming and publishing rights are separate as well

Niggas not knowing what they talkin bout acting like they do is peak KTT man.

Talkin bout "our whole investment firm laughing rn" acting like Justin doesn't look at what @op department makes yearly as pocket change at a mall shopping spree man f*** you lmfao.

You’re not interested in having a convo here lmao just a contrarian

His streaming calcs are public information and you find in Bloomberg and other verified news outlet reports what a typical payout is for using a Diamond or platinum hit in a commercial is

Thats assuming that they would even pick one of his songs to use in sync licensing

  • Jan 27, 2023

If you leave it under the mattress, yes. You'll get yourself a smooth 5% yearly with an index fund @Noir

Streaming royalties payout is pathetic. You get a fraction of a penny per stream.

  • Jan 27, 2023

Do you think companies like Apple will start to buy the rights to entire catalogs?

Saw an estimate that his 8.4M monthly listeners would generate ~330k/month at 0.004 cents per stream or w/e. But that's before it's split up, to @insertcoolnamehere point

Everyone selling their catalog they must not be getting s*** off of streams. Rather take that money and invest it elsewhere

It’s not undervalued in comparison to anything right now. His whole premise is one big guessing game that Justin’s catalog will be worth more in the future

I really feel like if more people were aware how much artists make from a stream we would have more awareness and a bigger movement of ending streaming.

niggas make a FRACTION of a PENNY from a stream dawg.

If those numbers are true, 40% cut would give him 1.5mil from Spotify yearly.

    200M up front >>
