Did the movie have low vocal audio? Like it was quiet to hear when they were talking. Everything else was loud like the music , cars, guns||, ||explosions
Yeah. I guess a lot of people in certain theaters walked out because Taylor swift s*** was so loud next door that they couldn’t hear the movie
I really need to start watching Lily’s work
She’s really good. She was in a Sundance film earlier this year called “fancy dance” …I wasn’t crazy about it but majority of ppl loved it

Damn now that I think about it, I didn’t have an issue hearing but anytime a loud vehicle outside drove by, like a motorcycle, I could hear that s***
f***in fell asleep in the theatre last night smh.... what i saw was masterful tho need to see it again while its still out
I be forgetting Scorsese is high key the goat at doing plotless films that don’t feel plotless. Which is because he’s a master at pacing, s*** doesn’t feel slow, there’s enough happening that holds your attention.
This obviously has a little bit of plot, but Scorsese really took time to explore the characters and world which I really love.
The more “plot heavy” stuff was later when jesse plemmons came to town like Santa Clause
and yes I cheered when that nigga pulled up, bout time someone brought order to this madness
The original idea was to make the film from Jesses characters POV where it’s him trying to solve the crime. But instead after Scorsese met with the Osage nation they decided to make it around Leo and Lily character, and explore the Osage victims. They were heavily trying to avoid the “white savior” trope, which actually makes the ending even more genius when you think about it.

That first conversation between Leo and Deniro in the house was a bit hard to hear

Every conversation was IMO, like when they talk about when they can kill the guy he has a life insurance policy on
Breh so I live out in the country and there’s a train that will literally block the only road to get to civilization and long story short I’m 30 mins late to the movie and bailing
Luckily I found a 6 dollar matinee for a showing down the street
Something I think this movie could’ve really benefited from in trying to get its message across is doing something similar to what Blackkklansman did at the end of that movie where it showed the modern montage of anti-Black racism in America so that the audience couldn’t walk away from that movie saying “wow, what a crazy time that was, good thing were better now”.
There are still missing and murdered Indigenous woman who’s stories are being ignored by police across North America. This is happening at disproportionate rates for Indigenous Peoples, and most of the population is completely ignorant to it.
I wanna rewatch this already

Canada has a disgusting history with the Indigenous. In the 1990s, the police would pick up native males randomly and drive them to the outskirts of the city in freezing temperatures and just leave them there. They’re referred to as the “Starlight Tours”.

By no reason other than your own implied dismissal should you leave this movie thinking these sort of atrocities are not still current. If you need a movie to be a history lesson that goes beyond its self imposed timeline to validate the message it’s conveying then maybe stick to documentaries.
