Turned 26 this year and I’m still lost . how do i get a real career started that pays well? I feel like I’m capable I just don’t know where to look. Is going back to school really the only pipeline to 60k + a year??
I’d suggest looking into trades/apprenticeships. Take something like that and exercise every opportunity available to you and keep leveraging your position to move up. That’s basically what I did, started at 20 and now I’m at 28 with a very lucrative career
Any way that you can find a place that will pay for your schooling as well I’d highly recommend. Continuing education is a good idea, getting someone to pay for your education is a great idea

this or look into trade programs.
Also keep in mind that life is not a race and all that matters is your individual growth

But it's tru tho might as well give it a try and if u enjoy it ur straighy
Life doesn’t move at the same pace for everyone. It does no good to shame people who are looking to better themselves
Trade jobs if you don’t have a degree for something in particular. I like where I’m working now.
I applied to so many places on indeed. Somehow got this job thru a temp agency. They pay me a good wage, best I have received since I was a firefighter and I get a good amount of overtime. Just got a bonus last month even though I’ve only been there for 6 months too! That really helped me out TONS, soon I’ll have health insurance (here comes the rest of the world to bring up healthcare) and a 401K
I suggest going the route I went tbh. Apply to tons of places that interest you and sound like they can take care of you. I think I was 25 when I got out the Fire Dept, and I can’t even tell you how many jobs I’ve had since then (I’m only just about to be 29) but I really feel like Ifound a good place to work and learn and I have never been more independent in my life than right now

i always had the weirdest time at school good grades but never saw any change quick enough i guess. Would rather a program that guarantees results. Been thinking about getting my CompTIA+ ti get better tech opportunities.
For me it was easier to go do a dispatcher job for truck drivers so I can easily stack up on cash without much thought put into the work itself on a daily basis, now after like 16 months I quit, tryna get some other stuff straight but atleast I'm financially safe for a while
You can do something like that until you figure it out, it requires no degrees or nothing, just find some small freight company that hires entry level
Just until you figure out what u wanna do
It helped me out tremendously, now I got another "skill" up my sleeve that I didn't even think I would work in or possess
I'm 22 still

It took me ten years to get my associates degree. I went straight out of high school, got placed on academic probation because I didn’t give a f***, stepped back and figured my life out. Once I went back I had a new perspective and motivation and completed with honors. Sometimes you gotta fall back and shift gears in a different direction there’s nothing wrong with it

you have any family or friends in a trade or union? if you go that route it would be a good idea talk to them and see if they can help you get into something
