Go back to school as soon as you can. Look into a short coding boot camp or certification if you don't want a whole degree.
Education is really the most consistent way to make a decent living.
Lil to big ufo
okay this hard
I’d suggest looking into trades/apprenticeships. Take something like that and exercise every opportunity available to you and keep leveraging your position to move up. That’s basically what I did, started at 20 and now I’m at 28 with a very lucrative career
Trade school is the wave
Life doesn’t move at the same pace for everyone. It does no good to shame people who are looking to better themselves
If I can give you any advice it’s this. Competence gets compensated. Find the one field you want to do, and focus on it. Master it. Become a subject matter expert on the topic so that you can be properly compensated for your work. Flip flopping and trying to keep changing fields is going to slow you down. Best of luck and keep the faith 💯

If you want to work different jobs yeah that’s cool too, I’m talking more so in terms of a career
Turned 26 this year and I’m still lost . how do i get a real career started that pays well? I feel like I’m capable I just don’t know where to look. Is going back to school really the only pipeline to 60k + a year??
What can you do? Making money in this era is a joke. Just tell me what you’re good at and I’ll give you multiple streams of income.
Also drop the idea of having some career that makes it all make sense. That’s some American dream type sh*t and it’s over with. Aquire money however you feel comfortable.
@op got me scared boutta be 20 in 12 days
you’re fine, I’m fine time goes regardless just get paid. I’d say think about what you really wanna do and go for it now tho
If you wanna get into CyberSec get first Cisco CCNA and LPIC 1 and 2, also when you learn for this certs try to get a Help Desk Job and after earning them try to get a better pay better position. After you get these 3 certs do either Cisco CCNP or CompTIA Security+, after those if you going for big racks do OSCP or CEH(this s*** hard as f***).
Bonus: Learn how to code that will help alot if you wanna do CyberSec (Python and JavaScript mostly)
good info here thanks king
The Odin project if u wanna get into tech literally free boot camp lol
? looking into this

What do you like about reporting phones? Do you have an interest in broadening the types of devices you work on?

Is Cisco necessary? I heard it's not even used...
Knowing Cisco is a requirement for cybersec? Cuz that s*** kinda sucks. I guess it's not as bad as Linux...
I want to get the Sec+ soon...
