Only time I can think of this happening to me reallySame, the only DOOM related projects I still listen too are Mr Hood, and Black B******s. Cant listen to any of his other s*** with a straight face.

Apr 4, 2020jynthI fell out of love with Kanye's music for a short while after JIK dropped. The fact that he could drop an album of that quality made me lose faith in his artistry and I didn't even want to revisit his older music for some time either
That coupled with his interviews around the time made me wonder if everything he's done on in the past was just a fluke and he wasn't the genius I thought he was
I don't feel that way anymore and I've been listening to his older music much more frequently, he's my favorite artist again
It was a dramatic reaction, I know but listening to JIK for the first time felt like losing a loved one
that s*** hurt my soul
Apr 4, 2020Had to take a step back from Kanye's classics for a little just because I'd burned them out. When I was like 10 I had the WTT/College Dropout/MBDTF only rotation playing I Pad games so it's understandable.

I might actually enjoy Untitled more at this point but I still respect the genius that it took to create DAMN.
Just goes to show how when you modernize your sound, you add it to the long list of dated microwave era music that has a shelf life of a year max usually.
