Tyler his s*** used to be banging but his new look and fans have been a major turnoff after cherry bomb he fell off
relax, Tyler is amazing
Never said it wasn't, just isn't in my rotation no more.
Ok b, Thanks for the honesty

I don’t fw his stuff that much outside of flower boy and Igor, But he indeed has real talent
Constant misogyny in music has started to make me stop listening to a lot of stuff. Just got tired of it. I don't get enjoyment out of listening to it.
It's like, why would I want to support artists who talk about treating others like s***?
Probably gonna get flamed for this but w/e, I'm answering op's question.

Tbh Drake for some reason but I’m not sure exactly why. Not even just his new music but a lot of his older projects as well.

That's a perfectly fair reason tbh, do you have any specific artists that fall the most into that category?

Of all the troubling content of rap today, that’s what turned you off to it?
No way you’re from the culture

50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Future
I can't justify acting like there's nothing wrong with the way they've talked about others in their songs. I'm not trying to pearl clutch, I just realized that it's something I can't support.

Edit: also Dre - 2001. That's kinda the one that I relistened to and was like "wtf yikes" shame because it's so we'll produced

I mean most of them are kinda s***ty with women, The thing is what goes behind the scenes that made them like that, Not trynna justify their actions and things they mention on songs, I still fw future but he mostly treats his women’s like s***. Some girls like that type of life and it’s totally understandable that you don’t want to support that type of s*** b, Although you probably know that hip hop heads of the 2000’s don’t care and still follow them and endorse their behavior lol

ok now this is a hot take
Please explain
Listened yesterday had no desire to listen to a huge chunk of it.
And the feeling been creepin for a while now. Just finally admitted it to myself
Was listening to damn a couple days ago and had the exact same problem, I know all the twists and turns of the album, outside of a few songs Idc for it anymore
TPAB tho

Not calling Fugazi mid but Red Medicine used to be my favourite record and I can't even place it in my top 20 anymore
Red Medicine is still a good record but there are records that do what it does better. The despondent vibes and dirty atmosphere is cool but the pay off to the build up is lackluster. Certain parts of the record (and other ones like In On the Kill Taker) just make me wanna shut it off and play Spiderland (i know they're not wholly comparable but the aspects I like off Red Medicine are done better here) Still think Forensic Scene is a goat song tho.
I feel like Fugazi have always been better at build up then pay off. I love the verse sections off Repeater but find a lot of the chorus' kinda weak. They have crazy cool grooves but the pay off to em is just meh. Certain moments on their records are godly tho.
I like the concepts behind Fugazi records a lot more than I like the records themselves if that makes sense. I grew up wit Fugazi tho so they'll always have a place in my heart and I will always respect their ethics and way they conducted themselves. Also weirdly The Argument used to be one of their weakest records in my eyes now I see that s*** as their magnum opus
Side note: Back in the day I had an email exchange with Henry Rollins when I was in a super bad place mentally and the man deadass made me a whole 30 song mixtape and sent it as a zip file cuz I asked him for soul rec's. Will always love that dude for that.
Realizing Souvlaki is mid is just a part of growing up OP
Hope this is a joke
recently none. but i know i speak for alot of people when i say i can barely bump pro era s*** now
