i get what you mean
and i would have agreed
with you some years ago
when views dropped especially
i like a lot of people tuned into
joe's podcast and my thoughts were similar
years removed from that
and in going back to it
i'm finding that i resonate with it a lot
same with More Life
the pusha beef was a massive L at the time
and i HATED scorpion when it dropped
(the chopnotslop version
is fire though i've discovered)
but it was dark lane demo tapes
that fully brought me back in
songs like not you too and
losses are prime drake cuts to me
and i get the sense that CLB will be the return to form that you're looking for
in conclusion
i feel you
and i appreciate you having your own opinion
i hope you enjoy his next release
you use line spacing too often OP
you use line spacing too often OP
it's how i write my raps
so it's hard not to write this way
after so many years
"Daytona is a classic"
"Travis, carti, and uzi make trap music"
"J Cole is generic therefore he isn't good"
"Biggie only had 2 albums. He's overrated"
"Eminem is only successful because he's white"
Yes, Daytona is a classic
it's how i write my raps

Damn you‘re quick. I wanted to say that you type like you‘re rapping
But keep it going
have you read my responses in this thread
i don't think your assessment of me is accurate
i think i’m just a little confused on the whole concept. if someone thinks nas picks bad beats or j cole is boring what exactly makes that a “narrative” that’s “objectively false” and not just how someone feels? what gives you the right to decide whether these people actually feel this way?

Daytona IS MOST DEFINITELY a classic

if i ask them why they feel how they feel
and they don't have a personal reason
that is how i know that they have just been sucked into an echo chamber
does that answer your question?
when i say something is objectively false
it's because i have taken the time to form my opinion
so of course i'm going to debate it
you can make a similar argument for the consensus top 5 too
i get that
Pac Big Em Jay Nas
are the usual suspects
but the WHY of their placement is what lets me know whether you believe what you're saying or not
with that said
i feel like the narratives i've posted are objectively wrong
and i am willing to debate either of them
The only narrative that's wrong is assuming people don't think for themselves if it's something you don't like. You're basically insinuating they can't have an opinion, you make it easy for yourself by calling it "objectively wrong".

so for example, i think cole is boring. i’ve listened to his albums and just wasn’t interested. for the others ones i agree with the sentiment behind them but they’re a little too much of an exaggeration to me. i don’t have some personal reason behind it. am i objectively wrong and just following a narrative because i won’t debate you on why you are just more interested in j cole than me?

I was never happy to listen a full Drake project until IYRT, and I haven't since either. It was always singles and B sides in rotation more than full releases. Always thought he was too interested in stuff he wasn't very good at whether it be singing or writing about women or whatever.
King of the brag track. Pretty much undefeated on the guest verse. Collab juggernaut. Quotable and caption bars for days. IYRT embodies that. His other records do not.

I’ve said it 10,000 times and it’s always true. And you stay seeing more and more examples lol.
The niggas that don’t actually like Drake always use IYRTITL as the benchmark lol.
Makes it very easy to know who’s opinion to take seriously, it’s like reading a Fantano review.
darkest angel im not assuming
i have repeatedly stated that i ask people personally
and their response determines how i feel
Since I’m on the topic “Drake hasn’t been good since IYRTITL” is a narrative that I def see too much and need to stop.
Niggas just finally the least drake-like of all the drake albums that’s ok for them to listen to.

you've listened and formed your opinion
i don't agree but i respect that you've listened
i don't know why you think im assuming anything
or saying that people aren't allowed to have opinions
i am encouraging that
i want to debate people who know what they are talking about
and some of the statements people make
are questionable
that's why they seem exaggerated
to anybody who has actually listened

So you're just this opinion judge going around verifying hot takes and battling narratives? I'm honestly wishing the best for you maybe take a break from ktt

it doesn’t make any sense. you’re saying some statements people make are “questionable” and “objectively wrong”, especially to “anyone who has actually listened.” meanwhile i am someone who has actually listened and i agree with the statement and don’t see it as questionable at all. you just personally don’t agree with them and you’re trying to make your opinions into facts. some people will disagree with you just like you disagree with me. that’s it.

you're missing the point i think
my issue is
PEOPLE WHO DO NOT LISTEN
YET SPEAK ABOUT THINGS
YOU HAVE LISTENED
SO I DONT CARE
THAT YOU DO NOT AGREE
