i don’t like star wars and i didn’t see the one before that one but i didn’t hate it. i didn’t see all of the issues people had with it but like i said i don’t like the movies in general. i understand that people who don’t like the movie may like the other movies and have issues with it based on that. i can only speak from my perspective. neither of us are “right”

no, and i think the concept of taste is just a form of elitism. people wanna think they’re better than other people cause they like certain things so they have “good taste.” if someone loves arthouse cinema but also enjoys transformers movies they don’t have worse taste than someone who doesn’t. they just like different things

If someone is on ktt they're probably serious about music and have thought a lot of what they like and why. This isn't a place casual people come to post. People who might not listen but speak are such a small minority that it's not even an issue. The average person might not be able to explain in detail why they like something so they quote a review, critic or comment to help explain but that doesn't mean they didn't listen.

The bigger issue is your obsession in what a majority think. I used to be similar but it's just healthier to enjoy what you like. Just like your example with Pac and Wayne, the narrative will change again because narratives change all the time. All that matters is your own opinion.
