  • This will make things worse all this does is punish the non-threatening people with mental illness and infringes on their right basically like they're not allowed to exist at all

We should forcefully hospitalize all politicians

  • Dec 1, 2022

what exactly are they going to do with them

  • Dec 1, 2022
    hot pancakes

my aunt got chased with a knife right outside her building by homeless dude so i get the point of needed to lock crazy people up.

but what’s their definition of mentally ill? someone just having a panic attack?

usually when you can’t tell if someone is on d**** or if they are just not socially aware

in the south even if you’re not near the city it’s pretty prevalent around walmarts everywhere

  • Think the bigger issue is crazy niggas with prior assault charges and weapons charges being allowed to be out on bail but i mean ok lol

Living here, we do have a legit problem though. I mean even pre-pandemic it was kinda getting bad (i used to work food service graveyard shifts and you see s*** on the late night A) but the panorama just sped s*** up.

A nigga had a bucket of excrement and literally smeared it on a random girl late night on the subway. And not even talking bout the ppl getting pushed on the tracks and people getting assaulted

Like s*** is really getting bad but @AmoryBlain makes a great point like this aint really the way to do it. Most likely these facilities are already overpacked and overworked and underfunded (I aint hear one thing from Adams bout putting funding into anything of importance besides the NYPD so i have a pretty good feeling he aint gon put money in them mental health facilities)

Cause THAT woulda been the step in the right direction, but leave it to a cop to handle things in a cop way.

Glad we booed this nigga when he tried to do a speech at Fort Greene park during the soul summit party.

Mental illness needs to be taken more seriously especially with the homeless, but I'm not sure just throwing them into psych wards is the way. Guess it depends how they go about it.

Punched a homeless dude in the head once after he ran at this girl I was with with a plastic knife. Kinda felt bad cause I knew him from the area and he was clearly nuts but yeah

The streets and train stations in NYC are loaded with crazies. It doesn't even phase me anymore.

  • Guyman97

Lawl so now we're not only gonna trust the police, but trust them to do this kind of s***?

We need a different organization other than the police to do what the police should be doing.

    Crazy right

People itt talking about homeless people the same way white people who elected Giuliani were talking about black people

any of y'all read Madness and Civilization by Michael Focault?

i think there's something seriously f***ed up about the lens in which society views people in general, but more so when it comes to what state your mind is in. just because there's a very possible reality in which all these societal constructs don't exist and we're just as wild as the f***ing dogs, which could give insights into the pitfalls of society's view on these things.

i heard that that book explores/breaks down society's view of people but also that it's a dense read. for those who've read it, is it worth the read in regards to s*** like this?

i'll still do my own due dilligence and try read it in the coming months but i'd like to know.

Helps get mentally ill people who pose a threat to others off the streets and into hospice care 👍

    It’s in the title

Hospice is for terminally ill people about to die
