Yea my vivid memory was seeing homie in 2015 after the summer we had graduated and he was ripped and I was heartbroken from a high school sweetheart

I remember asking bro “do you want to go workout?” And the rest is history.

Bro was competing so I learned fast and hard and we used to really be in that b**** all day type s***. Like go to work, link to lift, eat after then watch UFC back before Conor blew up. We would also train outside the gym so literally just outside running/walking for hours and hours.

By the time I got to year 5 which was right when covid happened, it was like a gift from God (aside from how bad that time was). I got to use all my knowledge from those years of hard training and learning from my manager/friend and double down extra hard

I’m still tryna catch the nigga I was in 2022 before my long mental break

    Soon

Think i started sophomore year in high school so i have to be at it longer than a decade now.

S*** was crazy i used to buy into the rumour or weights making you small but i still broke out to be 5'10 and 4 inches taller than my dad I can say that i could look at myself in the mirror and be satisfied at the end of the day if i dont build up anymore muscle, but im still feeling some incremental gains that feel like the icing on the cake
I have bulked a bit though but as usual thats something im gonna address in a few months.

Yeah, youre probably right I'd still like to add a inch on the arms and calves/legs. I'm measurin em to be around 17.5 without a pump. I dont pay attention to the scale much with my checkups at the Doc showing low cholesterol and blood sugar, pretty much just the eye test or pics for me

Good idea in theory. It’s similar to how I run my programs. When I build out a week I’ll start with about 5 sets low rep on bench, 3x8 on another exercise, 3x12 on another, and sometimes I’ll add 1-2 timed sets, ie push ups for a minute straight instead of a specific number.

It’s basically a time saving move to hit the different ranges in one super set. I just question if that set of 12 is really a set of 12, or if it would’ve been a set of 20 if you were fully rested and didn’t just do a set of 6 heavy and then at that point are you really hitting the different loading parameters?

did not make sense if you look at the bottom of the article it explains in weird ways its heavy then hypertrophy then doubles the amount of hypa, that is crazy and over doing it right?

    Yeah so someone would do

    6 reps on bench
12 reps on chest flys/pec deck
    26 dumbbell flys

All in one super set. First sets for strength, second set is for muscle building, third set is endurance. Wait two minutes and do it again. That way you’re hitting multiple types of training, using different loading parameters all in one set.

I think it’s a little silly and I think you’d be better off doing those exercises separately in their own sets so you can recover before changing the reps in a set to get the most out of each category.

BUT if you don’t have much time in the gym, it may be a good solution for some people.

2 minutes rest after 34 reps no matter the goal seems like it will always go at the expanse of form and thus the goal because of fatigue and strength. I cant see any benefit of something like this. Even if you’re low on time.

I learned this lesson very young: get ripped for yourself. Women don't really care about your body composition, other men do lol.

Women might not care but I still work out for them

I think its fine to admit to ourselves that we partially workout for women. Not just for aesthetic reasons but also just to be in shape.

When men deny this, it reminds me of when women argue that they dress up and get pretty ALL for themselves or for other straight women

    Yeah alright

  • bossyyyyy

  • Gym GOATED after a s***ty situation happens boi

Just lifted 60lb dummbbells in a 2-3 rep PR for DBB

  • rather late

yeah i had an acting role where i had a pretty prominent shirtless scene and there wasn’t any direction for my look but i got shredded bc i knew women would be watching anyway it’s no secret
