God Eater 3 or Tales of Vesperia.. which one should I get?
Idk, depends on what you like in jrpgs

Did you play both of em?
Idk I’m literally a s*** for both. Love MH, so can’t go wrong with GE3, but also heard it’s story was meh. Also love “Tales of” games, but never played Vesperia. Streets saying it’s the GOAT from the old era after TOS (not including Arise).
So what I’m looking for is really story tbh.. and I’m leaning more towards TOV, but if the action of GE3 makes up for its story.. idk
Know what I mean?
ya
how you like it? that, dragon quest and nier replicant are all on my list rn

DQ XI is imo the best pure jrpg last gen
Love Nier Replicant. Actually almost bought it again yesterday but my gf stopped me because she said she recognized the case because I already have it. I was blazed.
Almost done with my SMT3 true demon ending playthrough
SMT IV or Tales of Berseria is next

Appreciate it bro, most likely gonna go for Vesperia.
But what you mean by “You loving but f***ed me up. Lmao” nephew?

I meant both lmao
I meant both lmao
oh gotcha
Honestly, the “MH” type of gameplay gets old quick because their storylines are always wack. Heard the same with GE, it’s just an anime twist to it. Good multiplayer on MHW though
I love Monster Hunter but I don’t think it should be considered a role-playing game. RPGs are about characters going on journeys and this focus on narrative can be traced back to the tabletop RPGs that the genre is based on. Storytelling just isn’t a feature in Monster Hunter (that’s an observation, not a criticism), and so I don’t think it belongs in the same conversation as Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest or Nier or Persona.

def give vesperia a shot. should be dirt cheaper. i don't think it's one of the best games ever, but it's certainly one of my favorite. i'm almost done with arise, and i wish it was more like the older tales (though don't get me wrong, arise is great). vesperia has a grander story/world, so it's pretty fun to get lost in that and explore. arise is a bit more on rails and linear (world also kinda feels small as hell).

Definitely
Buncha ppl said God Eater tries to put an anime-story into a MH game, but it still ended up s*** lol
I’m going for TOVesperia Definitive Edition on the Switch y’all that mf sitting at 16$ CAD rn. Was just looking for something that could quench that old “Tales of Symphonia” thirst, so thanks for all y’all help.
anyone here would recommend the Disgaea franchise?
Haven’t played too many of them but I would. They are fun. Do you f*** with tactical jrpgs?

I f***ed with FF Tactics but I wonder if there's any longevity to this kind of games
I never realised to this day how many belts Lulu was rocking in FFX
The reason behind Lulu's cobweb of belts is that Nomura wanted to give the animators a challenging design to work with. He's a great designer but I think he leaned a little too hard in to his weirder impulses with some of his work on X.

Yeah Nomura has done some great things in the past, that being said I don't think designing a character to give your animators a hard time is the best idea
