I like Turn-based games, FFX is pne of my favorite games. I just think the positional style and the flow of it feeling slow to me even with the speedup is throwing me off. I'll probably get back to it next year as I got some stuff I plan to play for these last few months this year

Trails in the Sky SC End of CH8

@wes Holy f\*\*\* at the ending cutscene of this chapter man with the Olivert reveal man, I knew he was some kind of royalty from the moment he was revealed in FC but his true identity reveal at the end of this chapter was f\*\*\*ing glorious. Also finally getting his true intentions which is to basically erase the corruption inside the empire was hype as s\*\*\*; he was talking that s\*\*\* foreal. It felt like he been playing 4D chess since FC and knew all this s\*\*\* was gonna happen man what a f\*\*\*ing legend

He's so good man. Was laughing to myself when you first saw him in FC and said he was going to be an antagonist. I never would've expected him to be some galaxy brain when I first saw him.

I'm on CS1 now, which takes place in Erebonia so I'm really looking forward to see their side of it first hand.

Can't wait to hear what you think about the ending when you get the final chapter all finished up.

@wes I just finished Trails in the Sky SC

That last chapter was f\*\*\*ing amazing, in love with the Liber Ark setting; floating city from an ancient civilisation such a nice change of scenery from Liberl. OST in this last part of the game was hittin hard asf too; the last gauntlet of bosses was s\*\*\*tin out banger after banger

Spent quite a bit of time during this last chapter since I was grinding every character so they can go up against their rival in Ouroboros (Oliver & Kloe against Blueblanc, Zin against Walter etc); boss fight with Loewe was probably my favourite (and the hardest).

Overall I think the game was really f***ing good; definitely above FC and I can't wait to get into Sky the 3rd. Gonna miss travelling with Estelle she was such a good protagonist. This ending scene and seeing the whole gang together brought a tear to me eye man

That being said, the cutscene after the final boss with Kevin and Weissman showed me that Kevin is a complete f***ing badass and cold as s***

I already played the intro section of the 3rd and I can tell imma f*** with Kevin heavy. Usually in JRPGs the church is evil and s*** and I like the idea that this time you are actually the protagonist in this secret church organisation that is going round annihilating anything that goes against God and keeping Gods secret in check

Nice man. I completely agree; Liber Ark is SUCH a good setting. Plus the dungeon itself is so much better than the final dungeon in FC lol. I was gonna link the track that plays when you fight Weissman, but you already did it. The transitions in that song are f\*\*\*ing nuts man. I think my personal favorite is the Silver Will arrangement that plays when you fight Loewe; s\*\*\* gives me chills every time I hear it.

The ending was really nice too. I knew Joshua & Estelle wouldn't die or anything when the ark was starting to break down, but it was still a really nice moment they had up there. Also did not expect the dragon to pop up to save em.

I think I like Kevin more than Estelle, even though you don't get a ton of time with him as the main protagonist. Like you said, he's just cold as hell lmao. His backstory that you learn throughout 3rd is really good as well, so if you like him now, you'll love him by the end of the game.

3rd is definitely different from FC & SC with how it's set up. There's no real "side quests" like the bracer quests, but there are doors that you can go into to get more backstory on characters/events in the world. I did a majority of them, but watched the rest on YouTube because some of the requirements to open the doors just seemed like a pain in the ass and I didn't want to grind The game can be crazy short if you just focus on the main story, but at the very least, watch the moon & star doors.

Did you have any issues getting the Evo stuff set up? Fortunately you don't need to deal with that once you get to Zero since it was just released this past week. The install process for Azure was easy as well. It's still a few games away, but did you plan on waiting for Azure to get localized or were you just gonna download the PC version with the GeoFront patch?

The ending with the dragon was definitely a surprise; I was actually expecting Renne to save them with her robot so that dragon reveal was nice asf; of course its not a true ending without Cassius f\*\*\*ing Bright showing up outta nowhere

I can already see the change in gameplay with 3rd, seems like its going to be more of a linear experience SMT dungeon like instead of the open world exploration which im completely fine with cause I f*** with the combat system. I'm actually playing on Hard this time since I heard that this game is the first entry in the Kiseki series where Hard/Nightmare is actually somewhat balanced.

I'm definitely probably gonna be doing the majority of the doors knowing myself

Didn't have as much issue with the Evo setup since im kind of used to it by now. Actually all the other games I played with the Evo OST but this time I'm playing with the Original OST cause im curious and heard it was good. Gonna download the original OSTs of the previous games too just to hear what the tracks sounded like.

As for Zero/Azure. I'm probably gonna play Azure after Zero with GeoFront patch. I'm gonna buy the NISA version of Zero since it seems like Durante did hella work on the PC version and added extra QoL features like the message log. Not sure if my save from this version will work with Azure but I don't think much gets carried over from save files. I actually decided to also buy the limited edition for PS4 cause im in love with this series rn

Let me know how hard is for you. Even if it ends up being kinda difficult, I'm sure you can find some way to break the game with some crazy quartz setup.

I think I prefer the OG OSTs to the Evolution ones, but that's probably because I'm used to hearing them more. Evolution still crazy good though.

For Zero & Azure, fortunately the GeoFront patch has everything you'd want/need (like the message log, which I really miss now that I'm playing CS1 lol). I believe saves from the GeoFront version do carry over to the retail versions as well You might have to do some file converting or something, but I'm pretty sure it works. Azure with the GeoFront patch shouldn't be too hard to find either, if you know where to look at least.

I was contemplating on picking up the Zero PS4 limited edition one as well. Saw it was back on sale again, but didn't pull the trigger

There was a skill you could get for a member in your party where you could move like 2x faster for like 30-60 seconds or something like that. But yeah, no running lol.

Yeah, that's about what I gathered. It's not amazing, but it's not some abomination like I see some people make it out to be I do wish it was a bit better, but I enjoyed my time with it, so I'm happy.

there also seems to be a segment thats rooting for it to flop for reasons (some just petty, some are anti Atlus DLC practices)
