I have to catch up on some stuff like Morrison's GL and Batman but I've been reading JLD, Strange Adventures & Death Metal and yeah I might check out and just wait for it to conclude.
I'm actually kind of confused about the DC's timeline on the whole, so death metal takes place before or after Doomsday Clock?

Morrison’s GL is gonna be one hell of a re-read. Been tryna read it monthly, but with Morrison I’d rather trade wait.
Tom King such a goat when he gets to have his own maxi-series focused on obscure characters lol
Yeah it takes place after Doomsday Clock. They really fumbled the bag with that whole thing tbh. Death Metal is supposed to be a little into the future though, so not sure if it’s considered to be in continuity or not, but it does involve s*** that’s relevant to what’s currently going on. So yeah...its all over the place lol

Yeah that's my whole thing with DDC, feels like its super diluted now and what happened in the book doesn't even really matter anymore
And factttss, his Mister Miracle was great and Strange Adventures looks to be the same. I still have to read his Vision 'cause I've heard good things

Fr it’s sad because DDC woulda been such a great segue into a new era, but instead they rushed into s*** after they got Bendis.
Bro Vision and Omega Men are great. Vision still blows my mind to this day lol.
I seen Tom King is writing a Rorchach maxi-series next. That 9-panel grid bouta be in full effect

Omega Men on my list too honestly I've been slacking so much on my reading lmao. I still have to catch up with all the Hickman X-Men s***
And gonna be another TK classic

I feel it. Quarantine got all my s*** f***ed up. You in for a treat with Hickman’s stuff too. Pretty refreshing take on X-Men imo.

Yeah i'm caught up with all the Powers of/House of X stuff now i'm just reading all the books that came out from those two. You got any favorites? I feel like out of all the books that spawned from those two, New Mutants is my favorite and my least favorite is prolly Excalibur, all the magic stuff is kind of boring to me tbh

I ended up pulling all the new titles for like the first two issues and New Mutants was prob my fave too. Helions has been okay and same with X-Force so far. Marauders and Excalibur and the others I couldn’t get into though. I’ll eventually stop pulling everything else and just pull the main X-Men book tbh
New Wolverine book seems promising right now. They got Kubert and Victor Bogdanvic on interiors too which is coo.

Yeah some of the teams is just kinda weird lol. Seems like there is some important s*** in the grand scheme of things happening in the other titles, but f*** it ima just pull X-Men lol
Three Favorites
Brian K. Vaughan's Saga
Jeph Loeb's The Long Halloween & Dark Victory
Alex Ross & Mark Waid's Kingdom Come
The Vision by Tom King
Omega Men by Tom King
Mister Miracle by Tom King
Yes, three books by Tom King lol. All three of these are absolutely amazing. Self contained for the most part too, so don’t need to worry about the the DC/Marvel universe BS.
Gideon Falls by Jeff Lemire (Great book from Image)
God Country by Donny Cates (another Image book about a sentient sword. S*** is so f***ing hard)
just picked up omega men, hopefully i like it.
kinda lost interest in the x men stuff for nowafter i finished house of x/powers of x. None of the series were grabbing me except for marauders. I'll probably go back and read them all eventually but I'm taking a break for now lol.
After reading the first page of this thread I guess I have to read Immortal Hulk. I'm also gonna read Vision by Tom King because I really liked Mister Miracle and Omega Men was pretty cool too.
anyone read Three Jokers #1 yet?
Picking it up tomorrow. Did you read it? If so, non-spoiler, but how was it? Lol

I read it. So far it’s pretty interesting based on some implications set up in the first issue. Loving the supporting cast with Barbara and Jason, and how their history with the Joker plays into things. Though you kind of got to get over the fact that there’s three Joker’s first.

I’m seeing high praise for it. Gonna try and get off early to go swoop it from my LCS haha.
